So, for the past few years, I’ve struggled to find a cleanser that didn’t make me break out. After numerous of “organic beauty” searches, I finally stumbled across Balance Me Beauty, a natural and organically certified brand that specializes in cleansers that are both skin balancing and thoroughly remove makeup.

During the past year or so, I’d say the rise in vegan beauty has helped consumers like myself actually read the ingredients on the back of our most-loved beauty products, then we’re shocked when we find out all the toxic chemicals that they’re putting in our skincare and we wonder why we’re experiencing anything other than beautifully clear skin.

Obviously, the state of our skin has to do with many other factors like what we eat, and our general lifestyles like whether we’re smokers and if we’re drinking plenty of water and not just fizzy drinks that say 0% fat.

I thought I’d review one of my favourite natural skincare brands and fill you in on all the reasons why you should ditch your £3 drugstore cleansers and trade them in for actual soul food in the form of feeding your skin something natural and not harmful like uchy parabens and other ingredients we’re told that is supposed to be in there!

The award-winning beauty brand is a family run business that started at their kitchen table. The sisters and Co-Founders, Clare and Rebecca Hopkins, wanted to find a solutions-skincare that worked.

Their Flash Cleanse Micellar Water has really impressed me with its no-fuss removal of my daily makeup. There’s nothing worse than a makeup remover that doesn’t remove all your makeup and even after the third cleanse (because I always double cleanse), you’re feeling oily and UNCLEAN! I don’t know about you, but that gets me super agitated as all I want to do is get into my PJs, fluffy socks and watch Midsummer Murders with a cup of tea. Alright, not every night, I’m not a hermit! But you get the idea…

Their formula for the Flash Cleanse Micellar Water is designed to both clean and nourish your skin with ingredients like Hyaluronic Acid and Mandarin Oils to rejuvenate skin and help healthy skin cell regeneration, it also has Chamomile Oil and this is an inflammatory which reduces redness, it also contains a natural peptide complex to dramatically increase the skin’s natural ability to produce collagen and help anti-aging.

To use, simply press down the pump a few times onto a few cotton wool pads and remove away! I use the Tesco baby ones because I’ve found any others to be too harsh on my skin and these are actually soft!

Here’s a full list of the ingredients as I hate it when beauty bloggers don’t include these in their reviews!

Aqua (Water), Polyglyceryl-4 Caprylate, Glycerin (Vegetable), Anthemis Nobilis (Roman Chamomile) Flower Oil, Pisum Sativum (Pea) Extract, Tripeptide-29, Hydrolyzed Hyaluronic Acid, Citrus Aurantium (Neroli) Flower Oil¹, Rubus Fruticosus (Blackberry) Leaf Extract, Citrus Aurantium Bergamia (Bergamot) Fruit Oil¹, Citrus Reticulata (Mandarin Green) Peel Oil¹, Aloe Barbadensis (Aloe Vera) Leaf Extract³, Leuconostoc/Radish Root Ferment Filtrate, Sodium Cocoamphoacetate, Citric Acid, Sodium Chloride, Potassium Sorbate, Maltodextrin, Dehydroacetic Acid, Benzyl Alcohol, Limonene², Linalool². (¹) natural pure essential oil, (²) naturally occurring in essential oils, (³) certified organic ingredient.

Besides being one of my favourite natural cleansers, its also won the CEW beauty award this year.

I personally love it but if you’re more into your lotions than the micellar water, I believe they also have a great range of different types of cleansers to suit.

Let me know how you get on…
