Five Reasons to Love Facetheory’s C2 Clarifying Cleanser

I’m on my second glass pot of Facetheory’s Clarifying Cleanser C2 so I thought I’d tell you why I made the switch and 5 reasons why you’ll love this natural beauty product! I’ve even included a 20% discount code at the bottom of this article too!

I have struggled with acne since my teens. I remember the first time I heard about a skin regime from a group of girls at high school but, I wasn’t yet convinced. Throughout my teens and into my now twenties, I have found it difficult to trust beauty brands and their claims to ‘clear skin’ or be paraben-free. It wasn’t until a few years ago that I started LOOKING AT THE INGREDIENTS. Yes! Unfortunately, you can’t trust the labels today. You MUST look at the ingredients and do your homework about what you’re putting on your skin.

“What’s that ingredient?”

Sites like Cosmily and INCIDecoder are a good shout if you want to look up the ingredients inside your beauty products. Be prepared to hate your shampoos…I was shocked! However, there is hope to have clean skin and hair with sites like Green People and Naturisimo offering products that do what they say on the tin.

Back to my review…Yes! I was so pleased to find Facetheory and their Clarifying Cleanser C2! It’s is specially formulated for oily and congested skin and doubles as a glycolic face peel.

What’s Glycolic Acid?

Glycolic Acid Face Peel stimulates collagen production, reducing the appearance of wrinkles, fine lines, and hyperpigmentation in the skin by increasing cell regeneration.

The Clarifying Cleanser C2 has a triple blend of alpha and beta hydroxy acids that purify pores and minimise redness while gently resurfacing your skin.

Cream cleanser vs gel

They both work! However, if you’re like me and like to wear full coverage makeup, then using a cream cleanser will take you longer to remove your makeup. Facetheory products are designed so you don’t have to use a lot on your skin for it to work. I would recommend you use a cloth to help remove your makeup and cleanse your skin. A beauty therapist friend of mine recommended I start using a good eye makeup remover for removing mascara as it’s just messy and healthier for your lashes. Try Facetheory’s Restorasoft Waterproof Makeup Remover C3 for a more natural route to removing stubborn eye makeup.

I also have the Freshening Face Wash C4 which I use in the morning as its recommended to use any acid-based face wash at night as it essentially makes you more prone to the sun’s rays during the day if you used it in the morning. The freshening face wash is gel in texture that foams. I generally use half a pump as it lathers up so much that I can use it on my face, neck and chest.

Facetheory is also one of the leading natural beauty brands that use sustainable packaging. From the biodegradable corn chips, they use in their recycled boxes that the products come in, to manufacturing in the UK to help minimalize emissions.
