On this episode, I’m joined by Rebecca Sive, co-host of The Vote Her In Podcast, a joint production with Two Broads Talking Politics seeking to inspire and inform women activists campaigning to increase more women in political office.
She is the author of Vote Her In: Your Guide to Electing Our First Woman President and Every Day is Election Day.
Rebecca is also a veteran women’s rights advocate and founding member of the Illinois Human Rights Commission as well as Women for Washington, which supported Harold Washington’s campaign as the first African American pro-choice mayoral candidate in Chicago history.
Over her career, Rebecca has built a number of women’s organisations including, the Illinois Women’s Agenda, the nation’s first Midwest Women’s Center, and the Women’s Issues Network, which produced a national campaign for the controversial abortion pill RU 486.
