In this episode, I’m speaking with Charlotte Peacock, who runs sustainable craft workshops in the heart of Cardiff City Centre.
Charlotte started teaching creative workshops in 2014, after seeing there weren’t many sustainable one-off craft classes in Cardiff. She helps people turn unwanted material into made to measure shift dresses, lampshades and more.
Twin Made offers a variety of workshops, DIY Kits, and even made-to-measure clothes, ranging from sewing your own dungaree out of old curtains to making your own macramé wall pieces.
Charlotte collaborated with local makers in 2018 to develop new and exciting workshops for her project, Creative Collaborations. She also became a member of O Dan/Under/Nos Da’s creative team, offering a creative space in the basement of Nos Da Hostel and Bar.
In addition to her sustainable work, Charlotte volunteers at Recreate, a scrap store in Cardiff where you can buy and reconstruct waste and surplus materials donated by local businesses and factories.
